Asleep by Windows (2026) is an experimental feature film about the perception of reality. Following the creative mind of Noelle Fraga, a novelist trapped in a world of facts and fiction, the film exists in the reimagined world of Noelle's life through a character in her book, meshed with time slips, unsettling encounters, and false memories. Drawing on the director’s lived experiences with loved ones affected by dementia, the film explores the inner world of memory deterioration, perception, and truth, as well as the challenges of caring for someone with empathy, humour, and grief. Asleep By Windows is Director Angela Lemos’ feature film directorial debut. Shot primarily in Victoria and Inverness counties on a tiny budget (roughly $28K), it includes Inverness actors Leslie Freeman, Rachel Beaton, Tom Ryan Sr, and Cindy O’Neill, who will appear as a special guest.

The short film Here Lies Daniel (2024) will open the program, with Director Corey Katz and Producer Jacqueline Blanchard in attendance.
